"You Can Jail Me, There's Life In Prison," Sonko Dares The 'Powerful People' Sending Orders To NMS

Governor Mike Sonko has undoubtedly been at loggerheads, with the Nairobi Metropolitan Services boss Abdalla Badi, since he signed the Deed of Transfer of 4 key county functions.

A week ago, he was summoned to appear today before the Senate Committee on Health, over claims of sabotaging the NMS in its delivery of health functions.

In the short clip of the virtual meeting held today, Sonko clearly spoke out his mind by saying that he won't be intimidated by anyone.

He said " I am the only governor with more than 4 cases in court that have nothing to do with corruption, while the real corrupt people have not yet been arrested"

" I will not allow anyone to break the law, let them legalize NMS first, then we can give them money"

" You can jail me, there's life after prison, you can impeach me but there's life after politics"

He further congratulated Senator Ledama Olekina and Senator Cleophas Malala, who have stood firm despite being intimidated by 'powerful people'.
