Today, President William Ruto is scheduled to take part in a number of engagements in Homa Bay County. It will be the president's second trip to the region since taking office. Among other regional officials, the governor of Homa Bay will greet him.
Senior leaders from the Western area are already gathered in large numbers at Tom Mboya University, the major location for his first engagement, just moments before his arrival.
Former Homa Bay County Governor Cyprian Awiti and his colleague from Nairobi, Evans Kidero, are two of the leaders who are waiting for him.
In a previous statement, the leaders welcomed the head of state to what is commonly known as Raila's garden.
Ruto is attempting to change the narrative by claiming to be launching a number of initiatives in the area, according to his close associates. Affordable housing initiatives that he would later introduce are among the projects.
Eliud Owalo, the ICT CS, will be welcomed officially home tomorrow under the direction of the president.
