Kenya is going to a general election in 2022 and there are several politicians who are entering in the race for the first time while others have tried for several times. This has lead to emergence of coalitions to boost the likelihood of carrying the day and assuming the top seat in 2022.
The man that is public domain that will be in the race Is deputy president William Ruto. He became the deputy president in 2013 after they won the election as Jubilee Party. Since that time he has been moving from one place to the other reminding people that he will be vieing for 2022 top seat. Due to this he started patting ways with the president who felt that he has started compaigns very early.
In 2018 president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga agreed to settle their differences and promote peace in the country. This did not go very well with the deputy president and this as even affected his support for his presidential bid.Ruto worries are that the president might go against their agreement and fails to support him and this may lead to his dreams of succeed him being shattered.
Do you think absence of Uhuru Kenyatta support to Ruto can ruin his plans of winning the 2022 election?
