ODM leader Raila Odinga was on Wednesday 13th October, on a mission to sensitise Nairobi County residents on the importance of registering as voters as he toured different constituencies within the county, accompanied by his bandwagon.
In Starehe Constituency, the ODM supremo warmed the hearts of area residents after showing a kind gesture by donating money to five families of Bodaboda operators who were recently involved in road accidents.
The ODM leader was at a point of forgetting after concluding his and ordering his favourite Lucky Dube's One Love reggae song to be played, only to remember at order his motorcade to make a stop.
The ODM supremo then told the crowd that the Bodaboda chairman had informed him that 5 individuals are currently recovering after being involved in different accidents. He informed that he has contributed sh. 50,000 to each family.
"Chairman wenu ameniambia ati watu wenye walipata ajali na watano wakaumia sivyo, kwa kila jamii mimi natoa shillingi elfu hamsini," Raila saida which losely traslates to;
"Your chairman informed me that your people got involved in an accident and that five people got injured, isn't it? I have contributed sh. 50,000 to each family," Raila said sparking celebrations from the overwhelmed crowd.
