The relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Mt. Kenya region people has continued to deteriorate recently following the divide on whether to back him or the new wave of Deputy President William Ruto.

Recently, the Mt. Kenya people through Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata told Uhuru that they will not support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) if he decides to go ahead with the proposed referendum.

Many have been wondering where Uhuru went wrong to the extend of losing much support in his stronghold.

In a tweet shared this morning, Standard Media Group journalist and celebrated Radio Maisha sports commentator Stephen Mkangai has come out to reveal why the people of Mt. Kenya fell out with their leader.

According to Mkangai, the mountain people despise Uhuru because of working with ODM Leader Raila Odinga and the moment Uhuru drops that relationship everything will go back to normal.

"People in Mt Kenya hates Uhuru because anafanya kazi na Baba. They hate Baba with passion. The moment Uhuru na baba watawachana hivi wataanza tena kumsifia Uhuru. Haya maneno tunayajua dear," tweeted Mkangai in reply to a tweet from one user Shiko.

Meanwhile do you agree with the presenter that Raila is the reason why Uhuru has fallen out with Mt. Kenya people?
