New Twist In Anti-Ruto Camp As OKA Principal Sends A Good Message To Raila Odinga

The race to succeed President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta when his term comes to an end come August next year is at top gear.Several political Bigwigs are crisscrossing the country to sell their bids and marshal support and following ahead of 2022.

Three distinct strong political camps have emerged in anticipation for this tough tussle. The UDA wing of Deputy President William Ruto,Uhuru and Raila Odinga's political camp and the One Kenya Alliance. The OKA brings together Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi of ANC, Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya and Gideon Moi of KANU.

With persistent calls by President Kenyatta for OKA and Raila to work together seems to hitting a dead end, things seem to have taken a new twist. This is after one of the Principals indicated that the outfit is keen to work with Raila ahead of 2022 to ensure they emerge victorious. The 'Nation' has established that the Baringo Senator is keen to have OKA bringing Raila on board.

While addressing KANU delegates in Mombasa,Gideon opined that it is through the unity of ODM and OKA that a formidable force to lock out rogue politicians who are unfit to lead the country can be realised.Gideon is a fierce critic of Deputy President William Ruto.

He said it is through this unity that they can be sure of clinching the Presidency come 2022.He clarrified that major landmark decisions regarding the 2022 elections would be made by the KANU delegates in few days to come.

Kalonzo and Mudavadi who are co-principals of OKA have remained adamant in heeding to President Kenyatta's calls to back Odinga for Presidency. They have insisted that they would go all the way to the ballot with each keen to bear the OKA's presidential flag.

Should the OKA outfit agree to strike a working deal with Raila ahead of 2022,things could be coarsy for Deputy President William Ruto who seems to be their main challenger.
