The deputy president William Ruto yesterday had a meeting with aspiring United Democratic Alliance leaders from Kiambu, Kitui, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Muranga, Embu, Kutui, and Machakos counties in his official Karen residence in Nairobi.
The deputy president has opportunity to lobby surport for the UDA party and to champion for the bottom up development economic model saying it's the only way to save the Kenyan economy. The deputy president urged his supporters not to be ashamed in supporting the bottom up economic model saying they will form the next government.
On voter registration, the deputy president William Ruto asked parliament to allocate enough resources to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to adequately conduct the voter registration exercise.
According to the star, it will be a very busy week for the deputy president William Ruto who has a number of similar meeting_lined up with aspirants from across the country. The deputy president is will today meet with other aspirants from Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Kisumu and Siaya counties.
This is one of the most important deputy president's meeting as he will meet leaders from his main competitors ( Raila and Mudavadi's) stronghold. The meeting is expected to be attended by Kisii deputy governor, Migori governor, Bungoma governor, homa Bay gubernatorial aspirant is among the key leaders expected.
