The Special Services Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations was disbanded by the Former Acting Inspector General of Police, Noor Gabow on orders from President William Ruto.

The officers are currently in custody for the murder of two Indians and their taxi driver that happened months ago with the two Indians reported to have been working for President Ruto's campaign team.

This morning, according to the available reliable reports that we have with us from United Democratic Alliance Nairobi Member of Parliament, John Kiarie, he has proposed formation of a special police unit.

The unit will be in charge of monitoring cases in WhatsApp groups, social media as well as the Interwebs as per the reports that we have with us this morning.

"How about the formation of a police unit, having an entire wing dedicated to the combing of social media, interwebs as well as WhatsApp groups to see what is being reported." The popular MP, John Kiarie said.

These words have sharply divided the opinions of Kenyans on social media as to the effectiveness of such a unit.
