With less than two years remaining before the 2022 general elections, politicians from different regions have been running up and down to try and prepare for the polls. Campaigns are expected to begin very soon with the likes of ODM leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto interested in taking over from President Kenyatta in 2022.
A new report by KTN News has now revealed that the politicians have already started preparing for the campaigns with several leaders buying helicopters ready to fly around the country to campaign.
According to the report, those who own helicopters include President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Kanu Chairman Gideon Moi and Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
According to the report, most of the helicopters have been bought in the last three years as the campaigns near. Some of the leaders reportedly own more than one helicopter.
According to the KTN report, one Bell or Airbus helicopter costs up to Ksh 400 Million.
