The deputy president William has taken to the social media after the death of former member of parliament Ramadhan kajembe who used to represent Changamwe.
According to sources Kajembe succumbed to covid at Pandya Hospital in mombasa, his death comes barely days after the death of his wife barely two weeks ago to the same virus.
Kajembe was a stong follower of the famous Odm party which he used as his vehicle to take him to parliament back in 2007.
However the deputy president William has taken to the social media mourning the fomer parliamentarian saying he was charismatic and diligent leader.
Here is the deputy president William Ruto's message of condolences
"We have lost a charismatic, progressive and diligent leader who served the people of Changamwe with courage and distinction. Ramadhan Seif Kajembe was a focussed and committed public servant who will be remembered for his wise counsel and leadership above party politics.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kajembe family, friends and the people of Changamwe during this tough time. Rest In Peace."
The death of the fomer parliamentarian has come at a time when the country is really struggling hard to fight this deadly virus that is claiming lives each an everyday.
Kenya has over 23,000 confirmed cases of covid 19 and over 350 fatalities, this virus has now claimed some prominent leaders and its now worrying.
