Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has vowed to file an appeal at the High Court of Kenya as early as tomorrow, challenging the move by IEBC of disqualifying his candidate in the forthcoming Kiagu Ward by-election in Meru county.
Taking his devastations to the social media, the vocal legislator disclosed that his candidate, Milton Mwenda, was disqualified after South Imenti United Democratic Alliance Coordinator (UDA) Mutuma Thuranira filed a petition with IEBC. The body has now demanded Kuria's Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) Party to find a replacement.
"Today the IEBC has disqualified the Chama Cha Kazi candidate for Kiagu Ward By-Election Milton Mwenda Kabobo following a petition by South Imenti UDA coordinator Salesio Mutuma Thuranira," read his post in parts.
The legislator had filed a candidate in the by-election despite his co-alliance party, UDA, filing a candidate for the same position. Kuria seems to have fully deviated from Ruto's camp and he is ready to challenge him.
