One Kenya Alliance party (OKA) is a party that was made up of famous politicians like Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, Gedeon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka. However, earlier this week, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi quite the party in a move to support Dr William Ruto in the coming general elections.
Following their departure, the remaining One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals Gideon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka welcomed the NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua into their party.
According to the Kenya National Union (KANU) report that was released on Wednesday, January 25th, the three have agreed to work together and will be having a joint campaign tour beginning this Thursday, January 27 in Kitui County.
KANU's Secretary for Political Affairs Frederick Okango, who spoke to Kenyans.co.ke, said that NARC-Kenya party leader was an equal principal in the OKA regime.
"Yes, Karua is a partner in OKA and that is an equal principal in the alliance. She is the party leader of NARC-Kenya. So they are equal partners. OKA was formed before Martha joined. She and Speaker Justin Muturi have come in under the Mount Kenya Unity Forum. Remember the Mt Kenya forum proposed Karua as their spokesperson. OKA is the biggest coalition and many more are going to join." Okango said.
