After Deputy president-Elect Rigathi Gachagua invited Raila Odinga for tea in William Ruto's presence, online users responded. William Ruto was chosen to serve as the nation's next president. According to the report shared by IEBC, Ruto defeated the longtime opposition leader and former prime minister Raila Odinga by winning 50.49% of the valid votes. Raila Odinga was running for his fifth election.
Ruto, who won the race on his first attempt, will be the fifth president since independence.
Speaking to Kass FM, Deputy President-Elect Rigathi Gachagua invited Raila Odinga for tea with the President-Elect. He claimed it was because he is a Kenyan and pledged to see to his transportation, medical care, and other requirements.
"If Raila wants to have tea with the President-Elect,he is welcome to do so. He is a Kenyan, and we will ensure that his transport, medical and other needs are catered for."
