Following the mayhem that rocked the House on Friday, Kericho County Assembly Speaker Patrick Mutai has been asked to appear before the UDA Disciplinary Committee.
Mutai was summoned to appear before the panel on January 20 by committee chair Charles Njenga in a letter dated January 13.
"Accordingly, and pursuant to the provisions of Article 29(iv)(v)(vi) and (vii) of the Constitution of UDA, you are hereby summoned to appear before the Disciplinary Committee on the 20th of January 2023 at 9am at the Hustler Plaza,4th Floor, Board Room for the hearing of the complaint against you," Njenga said.
Kericho MCAs clashed over House leadership on Friday, resulting in fistfights and chair tossing.
Njenga claimed that the House turmoil had harmed the party's reputation.
He chastised Mutai for calling the special gathering and failed to provide party members with leadership direction, resulting in pandemonium.
