"The Reception is Not Good" Manyora Comments on KKA Ticket, Alleges Why Ruto Should Replace Gachagua

Political Analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto made a big mistake by picking Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate.

The DP unveiled Gachagua as his DP on Sunday May 15, and the duo have campaigned in different counties within the last one week selling the Kenya Kwanza Alliance's agenda to Kenyans.

Taking to his You Tube Channel on Sunday, May 22, Manyora claims Gachagua's appointment as the DP has not been received well by Ruto's supporters across the country and also within the Kenya Kwanza Camp.

The University of Nairobi lecturer opines that Ruto should drop Gachagua and pick Tharaka Nihti Senator Professor Kithure Kindiki before the deadline set by the IEBC, when they will present their nomination papers and get cleared most probably by June 6.

The vocal commentator says that the image Gachagua has, of corruption allegations, will negatively impact on Ruto's bid and will easily sway the undecided votes to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance's side.

Azimio is fronting Raila Odinga and his running mate, Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua.

"If I was in Ruto's campaign secretariat I would tell him to replace Gachagua, 'it is unprecedented, but do it.' This will rejuvenate and save his campaign, because for now it's gone. You can make a mistake, but bringing Kithure on board will save you," said Manyora.

According to his past remarks, Manyora had termed Gachagua a good mobilizer, but noted that Karua's appointment would bring tremendous change in the political space.
