There have been worries that Malindi MP Hon. Aisha Jumwa faked her degree certificate, which might prevent her from running for governor of Kilifi in the August elections.
In light of this year's general elections, the High Court reportedly declined to prevent the IEBC from registering the Malindi member of parliament.
Rajab Menza Shikara and Daniel Chengo Kahindi, two concerned citizens, had earlier filed a petition to prevent her from running for the top position.
Aisha Jumwa, a Malindi member of parliament, completed her elementary education in 1991 at Takaungu Primary School before moving on to Ganze Secondary School, where she left in Form 2 owing to a lack of school fees, according to earlier claims made by Rajab Menza Shikara and Daniel Chengo Kahindi.
