Ahead of the 2022 general election on August 9, politics is changing every day. All around the nation, several gatherings with various political themes are taking place. However, several businesses are hard at work conducting surveys to determine which candidate will advance from the MCA to the presidency in August.
The most recent opinion poll by mizani Africa indicates that Mithika Linturi, a steadfast supporter of DP William Ruto, is the most popular candidate among voters in the race for governor. Linturi currently holds the lead with 32.3 per cent. It appears that UDA enjoys significant support in Meru. However, it looks like there is fierce rivalry in the campaign because Meru Woman Rep. Kawira Mwangaza, an independent candidate running for governor, came in second with 29.4% of the vote. The bad news for Governor Kiraitu Murungi, a Raila Odinga loyalist, is that the poll shows him to be the third most popular candidate for governor with a 28.1 per cent rating.
Ahead of the August elections, both William Samoi Ruto of Kenya Kwanza and Raila Amolo Odinga of Azimio la Umoja have been vying for votes in the Mount Kenya region. Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
