Anti-Ruto rallies have not yet produced any results because Ruto's position appears to have not changed, according to the leader of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party, Raila Amollo Odinga. The Azimio chief made three primary demands to President William Samoei Ruto during the prayer rally in Jevanjee Gardens. The three requests, in Raila's opinion, must be complied with within 14 days, or there risk being nationwide protests.
Raila asserts that Ruto's administration must reduce the high cost of living within the next 14 days. Odinga further urged the government to stop appointing Independent Electoral and Boundary Commissioners. Following the resignation of IEBC officials, the organization remained a shell. Also, in the North Rift districts, Odinga called an end to the slaughter of civilians in the guise of eliminating bandits. Instead of sending the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) to murder every male in the Turkana regions, Raila Odinga urged the government to employ a more subdued approach to put a stop to banditry.
"There are 14 days for Mr. Ruto's illegitimate administration to lower living expenses and cease the employment of IEBC employees. If they fail, Azimio will call for widespread action, and there will be no going back. Ruto, you've run out of time. Provide for the people or suffer the repercussions." Added Odinga.

The Head of State, however, promptly intervened and rebuked those who were resisting their demands. Odinga is dared by the President to carry out his promises of widespread protests. In a fiery tirade, Ruto warned Raila that his government would not submit to extortion and should instead pursue legal action to address its issues. Also, Raila's large-scale protests won't deter him from fighting for the interests of Kenyans, according to Dr. Ruto.
