Wajackoyah And Mwaure Waihiga Arrives At Bomas Of Kenya Few Minutes Before IEBC Big Announcement

The tally of presidential votes has been completed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), allowing the chairwoman, Wafula Chebukati, to announce the winner. The four candidates, Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja, William Ruto, Deputy President of the UDA, George Wajackoyah, and Waihiga Mwaure, of the Agano Party, must meet a number of requirements in order to be named Kenya's fifth president, including receiving 50% of the vote plus one vote and 25% of the vote in 24 counties.

The four presidential candidates and their families will be seated separately at Bomas of Kenya thanks to IEBC. In advance of Chebukati's declaration, the presidential candidates for the Roots party, George Wajackoyah, and the Agano party, David Mwaure, have arrived at the Bomas of Kenya.

Before the official declaration of the presidential results, both the head of the Roots Party, George Wajackoyah, and a spokesman of the Agano coalition, David Mwaure, appeared in the Bomas of Kenya auditorium. After a five-day process of results verification, the IEBC will probably declare the outcomes of the elections held on August 9.

None of the fifteen verification tables provided by the Bomas of Kenya were in use on Monday morning. Only a few clerks remain, and they finish their paperwork before sitting at the few remaining tables and quietly conversing with one another. Every seat in the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza auditoriums was occupied by 9 a.m.
