President Uhuru Kenyatta stripped off his Deputy after admitting that indeed Ruto is misleading Kenyans with his Hustler Movement. President Kenyatta took to his sentiments after Ruto' s influence growing unstoppablly in his Mt Kenya region. As a way to curb the waves, Uhuru boldly joined his handshake partiner, Raila Odinga in slapping the DP over his famous wheelbarrow slogan.
In what can be seen as long range missiles between the two leaders, the Deputy President William Ruto has hit back at President Uhuru' s remarks on the ongoing hustler nation remarks during Moi' s memorial service. The Deputy President is currently ongoing with his campaign and empowerment program in Coastal region, Kwale County. Ruto began his visit in the region on Thursday, 4th February 2021.
While addressing residents in Kilifi County on Friday, February 5, 2021, the Deputy President reacted to comments made by leaders concerning his hustler narrative. Ruto who was welcomed by thousands of Kilifi residents urged leaders to cease from disappointing his projects by linking them to criminal activities.
The Deputy further replied to President Uhuru' s remarks that he was taking back youths to old age tools of working rather than embracing the new technology. Ruto said that he was once a road side chicken seller but that did not hinder him from becoming the deputy president of Kenya. He insisted that Kazi ni kazi.
William Ruto sternly stated that the ongoing calls to criminalize the hustler nation will fail terribly and there is no backing off neither is the hustler nation. Ruto' s stance on the hustler narrative has also been attributed to the fact that majority of young Kenyans are below the poverty line, obviously striving to make things work in the stumbling economy.
In summary, the hustler Nation is aiming to help young people make an important difference in their lives. It' s absurd to take on such leaders as Ruto whose reputations are well known for empowering.
