The independent electoral and boundaries commission chairman Hon Wafula Chebukati during the media briefing warned Kenyans on the social media platforms who are spreading fake presidential results. He warned the media for declaring some of the candidates as the winner despite being given an opportunity to interact with their portal where the results are being updated.
This has come when some people are spreading news that somebody has won the election. "You can interact information on our public portal but do not declare anybody a winner. Results for Maps and MCAs are declared at the constituencies. If you have lost the election, concede. The information on the public portal are the same results that the commission will use to complete the process", independent electoral and boundaries commission chairman Hon Wafula Chebukati said.
Despite that, all kenyans are urged to maintain peace among each other as we wait for the final results from the independent electoral and boundaries commission. Love your neighbor during this time of election.
