The Deputy President Dr William Ruto have decided not to rest until the issue of Building Bridges Initiative amendments are completely done away with. This was witnessed when the second in command and his brigades celebrated the court of appeal ruling which uphold the earlier high court ruling.
The 2022 presidential aspirant have today yet again revisited the initiatives by stating two bodies which according to him, should be given time to correct errors in the documents. In his statement, the DP states that some articles contained in the documents can be corrected without constitutional amendments.
He went ahead and set records straight by saying that parliament and Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission are bodies best placed at correcting some errors that might be in document without subjecting the document to referendum. This in his opinion, will help save resources if constitution process is followed.
Netizens differed with second in command with many informing him to leave the issue of BBI alone. Some suggested that maybe he is mission reggae.
It is during the formation of this documents that the relationship between the DP and his boss President Kenyatta started. From that point, the two have been reading from different script. There were hopes of reconciliation between the two which is yet to be occur.
