Blow To Legislators As Natembeya Gives New Stern Orders To Chiefs Ahead Of The 2022 Race

The Rift Valley Regional Commissioner, George Natembeya has today announced that all chiefs will be the masters of ceremonies at funerals from today onwards.

Natemya claimed that hiefs will be the ones to call the relatives of families to read the eulogies. He added after the chiefs do that then they invite the pastor to lead the session with a prayer and finally the deceased is buried. The regional commissioner made this order at Nakuru in his office. He said this while launching a serious crackdown on individuals flouting the Covid-19 regulations in the Rift Valley region.

He reiterated president Uhuru's Covid-19 regulations that were issued earlier this month. These included the extension of curfew hours, the operational hours for all entertainment joints, the wearing of face masks and the restrictions that were placed for burial and wedding ceremonies among others.

The curfew hours have to remain from 10:00 pm to 4:00am. He declared that anybody found outside their house past this time will face the penalty of the law. He said that bars, joints and restaurants should be closed by 10:00 pm as announced by Uhuru earlier.

He also said that political gatherings and rallirs are illegal as per the president’s directive. He added that nobody will be notified of their meetings. He claimed that they have already signed uthorisation letters to the police. He said that for now all political meetings have been outlawed until further notice. His order comes at a time when the nation is badly hit by the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The rates of infections have really increased. Deaths and hospitalization of patients is also on the rise.
