Despite being amongst those who pretested against the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) before it was crippled by the Court of Appeal decision, Deputy President hopeful Martha Karua has come clean to agree to support BBI if it will be revived should they win elections and form the next government.
In an interview with Citizen TV this evening, Karua has said she will support the initiative, terming that she was against it because of the process it followed while being unveiled back then.
Karua has promised to make sure that it will follow the due process according to the law, and she is ready to give it total support should former prime minister Raila Odinga decides to revive it.
"In my acceptance, I said I will take up that supportive role in accordance with the law. Even if the BBI is revived, I will be supportive to do things the way they should be done. It will be my duty to my principal, Kenyans, and the country," Karua has said.
