We are only remaining with less than nine months and Kenyans will be once again given the one and only opportunity to elect leaders of their choices for a better representation. In Kajiado county, the race to dethrone the seating governor Joseph Ole Lenku has been taking the new shape as we approach the 2022 general elections.
The race has so far attracted prominent leaders in the county such as the incumbent governor Joseph Ole Lenku, Kajiado North Member of Parliament Katoo Ole Metito, former Kajiado governor David Nkedianye, Kajiado East Member of Parliament Peris Tobiko, Solomon Kinyanjui and Josiah Ole Kores. All aspirants have been making inroads in the county to popularize their different gubernatorial bids.
The race to win the prestigious Kajiado county gubernatorial seat is likely to be tough among the current governor Joseph Ole Lenku, former governor David Nkedianye and Kajiado North Member of Parliament Katoo Ole Metito. Hon. David Nkedianye has been crisscrossing the county in order to convince more voters to help him recapture the seat. On the other side, Hon. Katoo Ole Metito has been serving as a Member of Parliament for 17 years and he will enjoy massive support from his constituency. Lastly, the incumbent governor Joseph Ole Lenku has an added advantage over other aspirants because he can convince more voters to vote for him by iniating more projects in the county.
