This comes after co-chair of the Building Bridges Initiative Secretariat Hon Junet Mohammed accused the IEBC of being complicit in sabotaging the BBI at a public gathering yesterday.
In a televised speech, Junet said that the IEBC had experienced internet outage on both Tuesday and Wednesday, which stopped them from going on with the verification exercise, something that he termed a ploy.

In response, the IEBC has stated that they are bent on carrying out their mandate and they have not been compromised in any way. The temporary lack of internet connection has been confirmed but the blame has been laid squarely at the Bomas of Kenya management.

The statement which is signed by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati further says that the Bomas of Kenya is expected to provide uniterrupted power and internet access as per their contractual agreement.
"The commission acknowledges having experienced intermittent internet connectivity challenges on the material dates at the facility occasioned by system upgrade of the bandwidth and power outages," reads the communique.
