The race to clinching the Nairobi County Governor seat in the August general election is fast taking shape with various aspirants keen on clinching the seat to succeed Governor Anne Kananu who took over from Mike Sonko after he was impeached in 2020.

Polycarp Igathe is one of the candidates who are keen on clinching the seat in the August polls as he will be vying on a Jubilee party ticket.
Igathe appeared on a TV interview with Lofty Matambo to share his vision for Nairobi County in his latest interview on TV.
The Jubilee party gubernatorial candidate surprised News Anchor Lofty Matambo after fluently and seamlessly reading a Swahili news script on air prompting a reaction from Lofty.
"Wewe utanipokonya kazi," news anchor Lofty Matambo lightly told Igathe as they shared in laughter.
The gubernatorial aspirant was also seen operating studio cameras.
