The supremacy battles for the control of the Kirinyaga Gubernatorial race seem to have heated up moments before Deputy President William Ruto makes his maiden visit to Kirinyaga county.
This was after the incumbent governor Anne Waiguru came out to cry foul over summons of his team by the DCI. Waiguru claimed that the DCIO has threatened to arrest his team as one way of intimidating her before the DP.
But even as Waiguru laments, her close competitor Purity Ngirici is already at the venue where Ruto is expected to attend the Sunday church service.
Through her Facebook post, Ngirici said she is already at ACK All Saints Church in Kianyaga where the DP will be fellowshipping. And as one way of stumping her authority in UDA, Ngirici arrived at the church don in William Ruto's UDA party colours.
She could be seen singing and dancing to gospel tunes as she awaits the DP to land. Interior PS Karanja Kibicho has been accused of using the DCI to mistreat and intimidate Waiguru's camp in favour of Ngirici's
Ngirici and Kibicho are good friends and have vowed to work together for the Kirinyaga people despite their political affiliations.
