Nakuru County Public Health and Emergency Response Centre has received assorted items worth Ksh 1.2 Million fro World Relief to boost the County's efforts in fighting the spread of the COVID-19.
The donations included 1044pieces of masks and 2000 pieces of Aprons to be distributed across all the 11 Sub counties.
While receiving the donation, the Chief Officer for Public Health Services Dr. Daniel Wainaina said the donation will supplement the efforts put in place by the Governor Lee Kinyanjui to ensure safety of health workers.
Dr. Wainaina also encouraged the public to take up the COVID-19 vaccines that are available in all health facilities across the county.
"Our partners have assisted us alot. Today, we can proudly say we have enough vaccines. Our task now is to ensure that the uptake by our people. We have decentralised the vaccines and build capacity of our healthcare workers in all health facilities across the county. This move aims at having the vaccines close to the people," Wainaina said.
