The Cabinet Secretary has noted that this is in line with the ongoing beefing up of security in the region after increased insecurity issues that has left several Kenyans dead in the recent past.
It has since been noted that the attacks that have been prevalent in the region have been brought about by attacks from other regions among them bandits from Baringo region.
“Despite the enhanced presence of security teams, criminals are still trying to challenge the Government's resolve to restore normalcy and the economic livelihoods of the residents of Laikipia,” Matiang’i’s statement read in part.
The Cabinet Secretary gas since noted that more security will be merged up in the region among them a multi-agency of security personnel to try and quell the tension in the region.
