The President has been trying to do this by completing more development projects before he exits the stage next year. Since last year the president has been surprising Kenyans with impromptu visits to their different workstations.
On Wednesday night residents of Mukuru kwa Reuben had the pleasure to welcome the president during a Surprise night visit to the slum. He was opening several new hospitals that are expected to help the residents, especially during this difficult Covid-19 period.
During the President's visit to the slum, he sneaked into one of the Radio stations, Reuben FM where a 23-year-old Presenter Shaffie Mwele was busy entertaining his listeners with a football commentary between Italy and Spain.
Shaffie has been working in the station for the last few months as an intern. The young presenter was able to compose himself to the Surprise of his Bosses who were following the show from home.
Speaking to the Daily Nation newspaper, Shaffie revealed that the President had not given him any money instead had promised to make arrangements for him to come to the statehouse.
Shaffie is yet to complete his journalism diploma due to a lack of school fees. He is optimistic that the President will fulfill his promise before he exits the stage.
