Dr. William Samoei Ruto political moves saw him storm to the Maa speaking counties Narok and Kajiado counties this week. The DP hunting strategies are getting better and better day after day as his cards seem to be working extremely well as per the UDA plans.
Ruto spend three days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday touring different parts of Narok county where big masses were witnessed while an amazing reception was made to his brigade. In his campaigns, Ruto met a number of groups including all UDA based aspirants and MPs from this region. Notably, Narok votes were almost equally shared between Raila and Uhuru during the last general elections.
Today, Ruto moved to Kajiado county where he held a briefing with Kajiado East MP Hon.Peris Tobiko at her home before proceeding to address thousands of voters at Kitengela. Peris is a sister to former DPP who is now the Environment CS, Keriako Tobiko.
Ruto's main mission was to officially invite Peris as she quitted the Handshake movement to join Ruto's UDA. Officially, Peris Tobiko will now run for Kajiado county Governorship via a UDA ticket. Reportedly, Peris could have faced tough competition from current sitting Governor Joseph Ole Lenku from the handshake side hence shifting to UDA was the wisest decision taken by the law maker.
Unfortunately, Ruto might have created more problems for Peris than goodies. After Ruto's departure, Kishanto Ole Suuji, Peris Tobiko husband came out to express his anger on Ruto's unreported entry into his home. Kishanto accused Ruto of snicking into his home without the permission from Peris husband. Ole Suuji terms this as disrespectful from the DP as he should have sought permission from both the husband and wife's side.
Definitely, this will be a minus to DP Ruto, especially noting that Kajiado has ever been Raila Odinga leading ground as the ODM party is more popular in this region. What do you think of Ruto's actions today. Is Ole Suuji correct to demand for forgiveness from Ruto?
