Amos Kimunya to be Arrested Once He Fails to Show Up Before Chief Magistrate Mugambi on November 11

The Director of Public Prosecution has successfully challenged the acquittal of former Kipipiri Member of Parliament Amos Kimunya and others in the Ksh. 60 million land graft case. In a statement the DPP has said that Justice Esther Maina found merit in the DPP’s appeal and ordered that the accused be put on their defense.

The Director of Public Prosecution has also stated that Justice Maina had warned the former MP Amos Kimunya and former Ministry of Lands Director of Land Adjudication and Settlements Lilian Wangiri that arrest warrants would be issued against them if they will fail to appear before the Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi on November 11th 2022.

"Justice Maina warned Kimunya and Lilian Wangiri, former Ministry of Lands Director of Land Adjudication and Settlements that arrest warrants will be issued against them should they fail to appear before Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi on 11, November, 2022." DPP statement reads in parts.

The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) was represented in the court by SADPP, Alexander Muteti, SADPP, Vincent Monda, ADPP, Solomon Njeru, SPPC, Caroline Kimiri and PPC, Christine Ndombi.
