Office of Deputy President reveal why Dp Ruto will not attend a devolution conference in makueni

As new information surfaces, the Office of the Deputy President has advised that Deputy President William Ruto will be absent from the current devolution conference in Wote, Makueni County.

According to DP Ruto, who had been widely expected to head the devolution conference in the absence of President Uhuru, who is now in South Africa on a tour,

The Second in Command has, however, told the event's organizers via his office that he would be unable to attend due to prior commitments.

According to a report from DP Ruto's communications secretary, David Mugonyi, DP Ruto will be absent from the event but has already designated a representative to read his speech today, the final day of the Devolution Conference.

Mugonyi has advised that Deputy President William Ruto will be absent from the seventh conference due to his engagement in Nyandarua County, where he will continue his campaign route.

David Mugonyi, DP Ruto's Communications Secretary, stated in a statement.

Although President Uhuru was not there on the first day, he inaugurated the summit via video link from South Africa.
