"Arrest Them", Uproar As 'Kanjo Askaris" Mercilessly Drag, Torn Clothes Of a Female Hawker In Kisumu

Kenyans on the social media have come out to seek justice for a woman who was caught on Camera's being dragged on the road by Kisumu county Council officers well known as 'Kanjo Askaris." The woman was yelling in pain as the driver accelerated the speed at which the vehicle was moving at. The woman who is said to be a hawker in Kisumu City cheated death after the Kanjo Askaris dragged her mercilessly.

The urge by the boda boda riders to block the vehicle proved futile. Kenyans have asked the government to take a serious action towards the driver of the fast moving vehicle and the other officers who were together with him. In the video the woman is seen with torn clothes at the back leaving her half naked. The shaming video has caused uproar among many Kenyans on the way the Kanjo's handles with hawkers all over the country.

Upto the time the story was published the county government of Kisumu had not commented on the incident. The woman has allegedly be hospitalised as she continues to heal the wounds she sustained after she was dragged.
