Speaker Justin Muturi Lauds BBI Ruling

Justin Bedan Njoka Muturi is a Kenyan politician. He was born on 28 April 1956. He is the seventh Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, in office since 2013.

Following the outcome of the Court Of Appeal Ruling on the Building Bridges Initiative upholding the High Court decision which termed the Building Bridges Initiative as unconstitutional. Many politicians, influential leaders and citizens voiced their mixed reactions. The Building Bridges Initiative was an Initiative that came to birth when President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Amolo Odinga decided to work together.

The supporters of the initiative felt that it will be now easier to use Parliament to amend some clauses in the Initiative. But according to The Star Kenya, Speaker Justin Muturi lauded the Court Of Appeal Judges on their ruling. Kenyans are eagerly waiting to see how it will unfold when the initiative is finally tables before Parliament.
