Waiguru Tells Off Ngirici For Claiming She Should go Slow After Joining UDA

The political differences between Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and the county's Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici escalated few weeks ago after Waiguru joined UDA party.

Ngirici was among the first members of the party who ditched Jubilee party after Ruto had differences with his party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018.

The two vocal female politicians are expected to flex their muscles in the UDA Party nominations ahead of the 2022 gubernatorial race.

Few days after Ngirici told Waiguru to go slow on the party issues, the first term governor has had enough. Speaking at her official residence in Kagio, Kirinyaga county after meeting more than 200 boda boda riders on Thursday, Waiguru said that she will not be intimidated for joining UDA.

As quoted by the Star, Waiguru stated that UDA is a national party, and no one should treat it as his or her personal property, instead, leaders should join hands and welcome more leaders.

"This is politics and you can't mistreat me because of my late entry. As a matter of fact you have no say as far as elective seats are concerned, the electorate do. We need the party to grow by absorbing as many leaders and Kenyans as possible,' said the former CS.
