Speaker Justine Muturi has silenced pretentious Members of Parliament who are joining citizens in complaining over hiked fuel prices. Speaking during a fundraiser meeting in Embu, it is said that Justine Muturi reacted to the sentiments of leaders as he warned MPs to stop pretending over the hiked prises when they had a chance to save it for the sake of their people but failed.
Justine Muturi asked them to take the motion to the parliament where it can be discussed to save the trouble instead of joining complaining Kenyans.
"An MP cannot complain when residents are also complaining unless they are saying they have failed in their job," Justine Muturi quoted.
This happens as cost of living continues to go high with the increased production costs in Kenya. MPs are supposed to make a swift move and take the motion to court to save citizens. If this continues, then the price of essential goods and services is definitely going to shoot.
