Azimio La Umoja Officially Issues A Statement After One of Their 26 Parties Defected To Kenya Kwanza

Yesterday, team Azimio La Umoja suffered a blunder soon after the august general elections. This came in after one of their parties joined the rival team, Kenya Kwanza. This party is the United Democratic Movement, UDM party which is under the leadership of governor Ali Roba. They joined this wing after their meeting with president William Ruto at his Karen residence.

Now, today in the evening, Azimio La Umoja through their spokesperson, Proffesor Makau Mutua has come out to issue a statement concerning this defection. On his letter, Makau Mutua started by saying that he was shocked by Dp Ruto's move to snatch their parties in Azimio La Umoja. Mutua went ahead to say that Dr William Ruto's acts are illegal as well as outdated tactics and he should not be allowed to continue doing this.

Mutua also said that no single party in Azimio has legally left the coalition saying that each party is still bound by the signed agreement. He also said that there will be legal consequences to those parties that has joined Kenya Kwanza.
