Inside Ruto's Busy Itinerary During His 2-Day Tour Of Kakamega County That Begins Today

Days after holding a meeting with Western Kenya leaders led by COTU Boss Francis Atwoli, President William Ruto is expected to visit Kakamega county, he is exoected to land in the county at 9:00 Am as he begins his visit of the region which will be the first one since he assumed the presidency.

The president will land at the Kakamega Aistrip and will be recieved by Western Kenya region leaders including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Governor Fernandes Barasa, among other leaders from across the political divide.

He will then proceed to State lodge situated in Lurambi constituency where he will have a meeting with the leaders drawn from the counties of Bungoma, Kakamega, Busia, and Vihiga.

After the meeting, he is expected to visit the Mumias sugar company to inspect the company which is currently under renovation. From Mumias he will proceed to Ikolomani where he will inspect Gold refinery plant, he will also visit the Kakamega Teaching and Referral Hospital which is in its final stage of construction.

In the afternoon, the president will embark on meet the people tour where he is expected to talk to the public as he shares his plan for the county, later he will return to the State lodge where he will spend the night.

On Friday, Ruto will preside over the 18th graduation ceremony of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology still within Kakamega County.

The presidents is expected to address several projects in the region apart from those he is expected to visit.
