Tuesday, September 13th, marked a momentous occasion for Kenyans as they welcomed their fifth president.
The Kasarani stadium was packed to capacity with mammoth of people who had come to witness Dr. William Samoei Ruto's inauguration. Several high-profile leaders, including Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, were also present at the event. The businessman was spotted sitting a few meters behind Cj Martha Koome.
The Nigerian billionaire tops the Forbes magazine as the richest man in Africa and is a close ally to Ruto. Dangote and Ruto first met on business forums in 2014, and they've been friends since then.
Aliko will be eager to invest in Kenya market following the inauguration of Dr. William Sameoi Ruto as the president of the Republic of Kenya.
His businesses have set base across a number of African countries, including Tanzania. Kenya was interested in licensing Dangote cement company to expand job opportunities, but the idea was shelved due to widespread corruption. With new administration taking over, Dangote would be back again eager to obtain permission to operate his businesses .
