Heavily Armed Police Deployed in Kiambaa to Block Ruto's Candidate From Doing This Today

The Kiambaa Constituency by-election has attracted two main contenders who are taking on each other this week to determine who will take over from deceased area member of parliament Paul Koinange who succumbed to Covid-19 earlier this year.

The two are Jubilee Party candidate Kariri Njama and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Njuguna wa Wanjiku who enjoys the support of deputy president William Ruto.

And now, Murang'a county senator Irungu Kang'ata has come out to reveal that the government through the national police service has deployed heavy police security in Kiambaa against Ruto's candidate Njuguna wa Wanjiku.

"POLICE have been deployed to block UDA sponsored sports finals in Banana Kiambaa constituency which had been booked in advance," Kang'ata cried out.

The event was organized by the UDA aspirant and it was expected to yield at least Ksh 200,000 for the winner. It was supposed to take place at Karuri primary stadium located in Kiambaa sub-county.
