The Directive by the Government to close all bars and places of recreation such as clubs and lounges have hit the hospitality and Entertainment industries hard seeing most Business owners count their losses as they have had to go for days now without opening their income generating ventures.
Responding to the directive, police officers have also had to burn the midnight oil to ensure most bar, club and lounge owners comply to the set rules. This has sometimes led to the police to be forced to storm into private investments to smoke out curfew time law breakers many a times making headlines and in some instances leading to the termination of Business licenses of the bar owners.As a result of this push and shove, most bar owners have resolved to close business until normalcy returns.
Proving the devastating situation bar owners are currently going through, A female bar owner was recently left counting her losses after she poured keg which had expired as she couldn't sell it to anyone due to the restrictions imposed on the sell of alcohol. In a video that has since gone viral, the lady is heard lamenting on how the leaders she had voted into power had let her down since they imposed a lockdown without catering for the small business owners by cushioning them economically.
The video that was shared on instagram by pulse news tabloid has since caused an uproar online as netizens took to the tabloid to air their displeasure on the hard circumstances bar and club owners are now facing. Below are some of the comments as shown in the photo captures below;
