Kenyans are left with 34 days to the next general elections. Political leaders are busy traversing the country in their different bids. Several political leaders have shelved ambitions in what appears to be a calculated democracy, others stepped down to concentrate on the presidential candidates in different big formations.
The following are big political names that shelved their ambitions.
He is a member of parliament representing Mumias East constituency. He announced his exit from politics in January 2022. He has publicly declared that he needs time to focus on delivering seats to Dp Ruto.
2. Kithure Kindiki
He is a current senator of Tharaka Nithi County. He came second during the picking of running mate for Kenya Kwanza's formation. He announced that he will not be defending his seat in the forthcoming elections.
3. Charity Ngilu
Her announcement came as a surprise to Kenyans and Kitui residents. She shelved her political ambitions for the Gubernatorial seat in favor of Julius Malombe.
4. Sabina Chege
She is the current Murang'a Women representative. She abandoned her quest for the Gubernatorial seat in April 2022 to focus on delivering votes for the Right Honorable Raila Amollo Odinga and HE Martha Karua.
