Kenyans Left Talking After Controversial Senator Revealed Why He Voted YES For The BBI Bill

Just as expected, there were plenty of loyalty, betrayals, celebrations and all sorts of dramas as the Senate House voted for the BBI Bill. At the end of the day, the YES side emerged victorious with more than 50 votes against only 11 attained by the NO side.

Some of the people who have been criticizing the BBI Bill in recent days like James Orengo, Isaac Mwaura, Ledama Olekina and others surprised Kenyans after voting YES. As we are speaking, one of them known as Ledama Olekina has now broken his silence to explain why he voted YES.

According to the Narok senator through his official twitter account, the vote of consequences lies not with the Parliament but with the registered voters. For that reason, Ledama Olekina exercised his duty by voting YES so as to pass the Bill to Kenyans to also exercise their duty.

"Y’all thought it was a conscious vote? BBI was promoted by a popular initiative, the vote of consequence lies not with parliament but with you the registered voters. Now you have your say in the referendum. I exercised my duty on behalf of Narok County, by passing the Bill to you." Tweeted Ledama Olekina.
