IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati Says "Deep State" Will Not Interfere With 2022 Presidential Elections

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is a government agency that was established by the new constitution of Kenya of 2010. The commission is incharge of conducting electoral process in the country such as registering voters, updating voters register and conducting voting process.

Iebc chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati has today revealed that the commission will deliver a free and fair presidential elections that are slated to take place on 9th August 2022. Magoha made the remarks today Wednesday when he was speaking in a meeting with a Faith Based Organization in Nairobi, saying the deep state will not determine who will be the next president of the republic of Kenya.

This comes after Nyandarua governor Hon. Francis Kimemia in an interview with one local television station said that the deep state will greatly contributes in determining the next president of Kenya ahead of 2022 polls.
