It raised eyebrows among many Kenyans especially because the two leaders have been publicly contrasting on many issues affecting the nation, including the recently okayed Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2020 (BBI).

The leaders have also not shied away from trolling each other on public rallies with each poking holes at the other's political ideologies.

He took a jab at the doubters and said that everything is possible especially with regards to the politicians.
On his Twitter account Hon. Kaluma said " Now they are discussing the prospect of Raila and Ruto coming together as if it's impossible! In politics, nothing is impossible."
The vocal legislator further dug into their ethnical backgrounds and said that it wouldn't be a surprise because actually they are Nilotes, and basically historically came from the same place of Nile Valley.
This is because Raila Odinga is a Luo and Deputy President William Ruto is a Kalenjin and are both Nilotes.
The Homabay MP further said that the ODM Party was ready to work with anyone including the DP if he chose to subscribe to the party's ideals, and helps it to win in the forthcoming General Elections in 2022.
He said;- "Lest you forget, the 2 came from the Nile Valley. ODM will work with anyone who enables the party capture power to transform Kenya".
Hon. Kaluma's rejoinder comes after days ago Oburu Odinga, Raila Odinga's elder brother declared publicly that his brother may one day work again with DP William Ruto.
He revealed this in an interview with KTN news anchor Sophia Wanuna on Friday this week, where the East Africa Legislative Assembly MP claimed that it was a possibility because their differences were political and not personal ones.
