The Salary and Remuneration Commission of Kenya has been on the receiving end since Tuesday, when it bowed to Pressures from President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga's men, to pass the Kshs 4.5 billion Car grant for the Members of the County assemblies in Kenya.
This move has been greeted with outcry from various political leaders across the country, healthcare workers, and the teachers union, citing that it's timing is still questionable because it makes no sense at all, to award Members of the County Assemblies with cars, while doctors and nurses haven't been paid.
In a quick rejoinder, Rarienda Member of Parliament Hon Amolo Otiende has today waded in the debate whereby he has also reported and expressed his disbelief with the SRC. He has revealed that it's so unfortunate that up to date, Kenyans institutions cannot be relied upon as far as independent decisions are concerned.
Despite the fact that Amolo is one of the closest supporters of Raila Odinga, he still believes that something is wrong somewhere, and BBI shouldn't be used to oppress other people while favoring others.
Otiende Amollo: SRC is supposed to be completely independent. The timing of their decision & the mode in which they made it shows inconsistency & lack of independence. SRC should standardize & improve the standards of health care workers.
Amolo spoke to Citizen Tv on Thursday morning.

02-11 09:12:51I admired president Uhuru alot. I campaigned for him with all my strength, I can't believe he's bribing MCAs just to make sure BBI goes through. Kenyans, we are doomed.
