Mizani: Rutto & Barchok Are Neck And Neck In Bomet Governor Race As Sossion Tops Senatorial Hopefuls

Bomet governor Hillary Barchok who took over after the death of Joyce Laboso, would narrowly defend the seat against the first governor Isaac Rutto if elections were held today, this is according to latest poll by Mizani Africa.

The incumbent who is a member of Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party would win 42.0% a difference of 1.7% between him and Isaac Rutto the leader of the Chama Cha Mashinani.

Mining principal secretary engineer John Mosonik would come third at 15.5%. Both Barchok and Mosonik are eying UDA ticket while Rutto has maintained he will use his CCM party.

On the other hand, Orange Democratic Movement party nominated member of parliament Hon. Wilson Sossion, would win the senatorial seat with 36.6%, incumbent Christopher Langat would come second at 31.3% as Hillary Segei coming third with 16.4%, Patrick Sonko would come forth at 9.1% as Collins Kiprotich closing the top five at 6.6%
