Energy Cabinet secretary Charles Keter camp is in panic after a new gubernatorial candidate joins the race for Kericho's top position. The new aspirant Dr. Mutai is rapidly gaining popularity against the CS who earlier showed better odds of winning the position.
The new entrant has focused on popularizing himself as a hustler just like the deputy president and opposing the energy CS calling him a dynasty. The sentiments have seen him get love from electorates.
Charles Keter camp has taken to social media to vehemently oppose the narrative calling him an imposter.
"The only hustler Narrative that will work is for Presidency. That's just an opportunist looking for an avenue to Siphon funds from the County Coffers," Beryl Keter's fierce supporter said.
Grapevine has it that Mutai was fronted by the county's senator who also has an interest in the top position and is a known rival of Charles Keter. The two are trying hard to win the heart of the deputy president as they might go for party primaries come 2022.
